This recipe is always a big hit whenever I take it anywhere or have it for breakfast at our house when we have company. The combination of cheddar, apple, and bacon may sound strange but it is delicious! My Aunt used to make it whenever we would visit and this was always my favorite dish. Continue reading “Cheddar Apple Bacon Casserole”

(Not Soggy) Butter Popcorn At Home
The other night my husband had a late meeting at church and my kids were antsy after dinner. So I proclaimed a game night and the kids begged for popcorn as a treat while we played games. I no longer buy microwave popcorn because of all of the bad for you stuff in it. If you don’t know about that I will let you google it, its bad, otherwise just trust me it’s not healthy for you. So I have an old air popper I bust out when we want popcorn, I got it at a garage sale when we first got married almost 11 years ago. I love fresh air popped corn and it only takes a few minutes to make. While it is yummy, its pretty bland. We like a little butter and salt on our popcorn but have you ever tried to just pour melted butter over popcorn? Yep a soggy nasty mess… Good news! I have a way to make super yummy buttered popcorn at home that is NOT SOGGY! Continue reading “(Not Soggy) Butter Popcorn At Home”
Asian Chicken Lettuce Wraps
One of my favorite restaurants is P.F. Changs. I love their chicken lettuce wraps, they are mouth watering good! We don’t have the opportunity to go there very often so I began my search for a copycat recipe I could make at home. I found many online but was frustrated by the extensive ingredient lists and the complicated/time consuming recipe steps. The worst part was none of the recipes I tried were the exact taste of the lettuce wraps I know and love from my favorite Chinese restaurant! So now after trial and error and many attempts I have a recipe that only has 5 ingredients, super simple directions and takes about 20 minutes! Continue reading “Asian Chicken Lettuce Wraps”

I was recently contacted by a company called Picture Keeper and offered a solution to my storage concerns.

Chalkboard Pallet
So toward the beginning of my 30 Days Of Thankfulness Challenge I decided to turn a pallet into a chalkboard pallet! We had our roof worked on recently after one of our lovely Oklahoma storms ripped part of it off. The roofers were kind enough to leave behind two pallets, a crafty girl’s dream 🙂 I thought of at least 50 ways I wanted to use these pallets and settled on using one for my chalkboard pallet idea. 30 Days of Thankfulness Challenge
I know it’s a day late but I’m posting this 30 Days of Thankfulness Challenge that I’m doing with my small group of teen girls I meet with each week for bible study. I am challenging them to use the guide I made to find one thing each day to be thankful for. The importance of stopping to be purposefully grateful can be overlooked.
