Asian Chicken Lettuce Wraps

One of my favorite restaurants is P.F. Changs. I love their chicken lettuce wraps, they are mouth watering good! We don’t have the opportunity to go there very often so I began my search for a copycat recipe I could make at home. I found many online but was frustrated by the extensive ingredient lists and the complicated/time consuming recipe steps. The worst part was none of the recipes I tried were the exact taste of the lettuce wraps I know and love from my favorite Chinese restaurant! So now after trial and error and many attempts I have a recipe that only has 5 ingredients, super simple directions and takes about 20 minutes!

5 ingredient lettuce wraps taste just like P.F. Chang's

Ingredients:

4 Chicken Breast cut into very small pieces

1 small can Water Chestnuts diced

3/4 cup Mushrooms (I used baby bellas) diced

1 bottle Kikkoman Teriyaki Baste and Glaze (this brand is important for the taste)

1 teaspoon Toasted Sesame Oil

Lettuce Wrap Ingredients

1. Use a large skillet to cook the chicken in a little bit of vegetable oil. Stir until cooked through.

2. Add the mushrooms and water chestnuts. Let cook for about 5 minutes.

3. Add the teriyaki sauce and sesame oil. Let simmer for 10 minutes.

4. Serve warm with a crisp lettuce leaf.

This tastes so close to the original chicken lettuce wraps! My whole family loves them. In fact this Easter my family gathered at my house and we had a non traditional meal of homemade Chinese food.

Of course I had to make these. No one complained! So while signing off I will post a pic of my adorable niece and I on Easter after a big Chinese meal…

  1. I fixed this for dinner tonight – delicious!! It came together really quick and even my picky eaters loved it! I ate it with a little bit of rice wrapped in butter lettuce. Everyone else had it served over rice. I will definitely make it again. Thanks for sharing! A quick, easy recipe that all my family loves (we still have 6 kids at home!) will eat is truly a blessing!
