I love pumpkin flavored things and I love chocolate covered pretzels. So, I came up with a yummy recipe that includes both! Pumpkin flavored white chocolate covered pretzels.
Each day I hear many things over and over since I have three kids 5 and under. Besides, “I love you,” my favorite thing I hear each day (multiple times a day) from my middle child Bella is, “I’m going to be a great doctor someday momma.” My sweet girl loves the Disney show Doc McStuffins. Because of this show she talks about being a doctor all the time. I get my temperature “taken” (with her hand and fake thermometer) a few times a day, and I’ve been diagnosed with many crazy sounding illnesses. Her bedside manner is so sweet since during each exam she lets you cuddle her teddy bear and some prescriptions include kisses and chocolate 🙂
Last week we discussed the different types of seeds in science with my girls. I always try to find ways to include my two year old son in our lessons as well. I used nail polish in different colors to paint acorns and then the inside of their caps to match. Continue reading “Matching Acorns”
Now that fall is in full swing I really enjoy warm homemade soup on a chilly day. One of our family’s favorites is cheesy chicken enchilada soup with fresh homemade tortillas to dip in it like crackers or bread. All of us finish our entire bowls, even my picky eaters usually go for seconds!
I have seen the cute felt Christmas trees all over Pinterest. They hang on a wall and have felt ornaments for kids to decorate and play with. Well in our home, we focus on the nativity and the true reason behind why we celebrate Christmas, the birth of Jesus. So I decided to do my own version of a felt wall toy for my children. I thought I would share it now since many people are already looking forward to/preparing for Christmas.
I have been sewing a big project lately for Christmas and my two girls keep asking when they can learn to sew. Not willing to give them tiny sharp needles, I came up with a fun and safe alternative. Plastic needles, yarn and my colander!
Noah has been enjoying water painting today and I had forgotten just how much fun this is for a two year old! The girls love it still too, and it is so simple to do. All you need is a chalkboard, chalk, water in a cup and a paint brush. Continue reading “Water Painting”
