Last week we discussed the different types of seeds in science with my girls. I always try to find ways to include my two year old son in our lessons as well. I used nail polish in different colors to paint acorns and then the inside of their caps to match.
This created a cute color matching game for my son with acorns.
It gave him hands on experience with holding and feeling a seed. He worked on his matching skills with colors and fine motor skills putting the correct cap on the acorn seed. My girlies loved playing with him with these as well. They giggled together repeating the three types of seeds 🙂 I even heard Noah attempting to say monocot once.
Thanks for stopping by!

What a fun activity to do with the acorns! I love it.
