Sewing Practice

I have been sewing a big project lately for Christmas and my two girls keep asking when they can learn to sew. Not willing to give them tiny sharp needles, I came up with a fun and safe alternative. Plastic needles, yarn and my colander!

I let the girls take turns “sewing” the colander with a large plastic needle threaded with some yarn. They were thrilled and it was so sweet to have them sit with me practice sewing as I sewed.

Sewing quietly with my girls has been a highlight of my week 🙂 something I will treasure in my heart my whole life. I am so proud and blessed to be the mother of two sweet-spirited girls and I am excited to see them growing into themselves. Thanks for stopping by!
