10. Sea Bands

I will forever promote these little bands! I wore them while pregnant with my first baby 16 years ago and was so nauseated I couldn’t eat a thing. They were the only thing that helped at all. Since then any time I have nausea they are what I pull out of my purse and use! Yep same pair, 16 years… GREAT investment ya’ll! Seasick? These. Airsick? These. Carsick? These. Seriously, get a pair! Keep them in your purse or car. They come in a great little plastic case for clean keeping. Get them on Amazon: HERE.

11. Reusable Lint Roller

If you plan to go on a cruise some place that will have water involved, or just a chance of needing to waterproof your phone get this pouch! My husband and I have been on one cruise and we got these pouches for our phones because we knew one of our excursions included a lot of water but we wanted our phones for pictures. They were a great purchase and we now take them to theme parks for water rides for protection! Find them on Amazon: HERE.

14. Portable Dog Water Bottle/Dispenser

Do you have a dog or cat that you travel with? We do! We love to take our two sweet golden doodles with us when we travel if we can. This water bottle/dispenser is super useful in the car to make sure they have water while driving without the mess. There is a button to release the water into the small dish and then if they don’t drink it all push the button and it drains back into the bottle! We also can easily take this on walks with our dogs or if we stop to walk around with them we grab it in case they need hydration. Find it on Amazon: HERE.

Pumpkin Fun

Besides carving a pumpkin there are many ways to have pumpkin fun this fall! What about after Halloween is over and you have that jack-o-lantern, you know the one on the front porch whose smile is getting slightly droopy and moldy? Trust me, there is much more fun to be had with old Jack. Here are just a few ideas but feel free to leave comments with more! My kids and I are always looking for fun new ideas.

  1. Puking pumpkins! Just fill a small cup with baking soda and a few drops of food coloring and set it down inside your pumpkin. Pour vinegar into the cup and voila! Puking pumpkins that will have the kids giggling.

State Wall Project

Today I want to share with you a project I’ve been working on for our new home! I’m so excited about this fun wall project because it is near and dear to my heart. Our little family of 5 consists of people all born in different states. Sounds strange to some I know but I’m sure there are others out there too. I love this interesting little fact about our family. It is part of our story, and our story is one of my favorite things! I love seeing how God has knit our little family together in His perfect way in His perfect timing. Continue reading “State Wall Project”

Homemade Melt in Your Mouth Donuts

Fresh homemade donuts are a rare treat around our house. They take quite a bit of time, but the whole family loves them! Yes my title is melt in your mouth, because well they are. Fresh warm donuts are amazing friends! I’m a huge fan of warm glazed donuts and Dunkin Donuts’ Chocolate kreme filled donuts. So those are the two types I’m giving you the recipe for today. If you like it topped with chocolate/maple/vanilla icing though just take the base donut recipe and make it your own. Sprinkles would be fun for a kids sleepover!  Continue reading “Homemade Melt in Your Mouth Donuts”

Leap Day!

Happy February 29th friends! I awoke this morning to my 5 year old son jumping all over our house very LOUDLY… when I asked why he replied, “Because it’s LEAP DAY Mom!” Oh how I enjoy the fresh perspective of a 5 year old mind! So simple, sweet, and most of the time funny. Well to celebrate the kids and I are doing a few fun things I wanted to share in hopes it will inspire more Leap Day fun for others too.  Continue reading “Leap Day!”

DIY Pallet Wall Basket

If you give my man a saw… he will build me an awesome rustic hanging wall basket from old pallets we have in the backyard! I’m extremely blessed to be married to a wonderfully talented handy man. Eric can build just about anything I’ve asked, for example I got a gorgeous farmhouse table built from old barn wood for our 11 year anniversary. Other great pieces in our house are Eric originals also, but I won’t bore you anymore with my swooning over my guy! Recently we were contacted by Rockwell Tools to give one of their tools a try for a blog post. My husband gladly volunteered to debut his first guest post on my blog without hesitation. So without further ado I will let my favorite man take it from here! Continue reading “DIY Pallet Wall Basket”
