My little sister got married this weekend! I say little because she is 7 years younger than me but she is 25 so not too little 🙂 All grown up and married, it seems like yesterday she was playing with Barbies and I was a senior in high school… time flies. Well I was her matron (sounds old ugh) of honor and my two girlies were her flower girls! My son had the honor of being her ring bearer, but being only 3 giving him priceless small rings wasn’t the best idea. So she had me make him a sign to carry down the aisle!

Rainbow Art for Kids
Today I’m sharing several rainbow art ideas for kids. These are fun to do around St. Patrick’s Day. Some I even used in my weekly elementary art class.
Winter Art: Snow Paint
It’s winter, so the amount of outdoor play is limited. This means that I am always looking for easy projects indoors for my kids. As a winter afternoon project yesterday we made snow paint! It was fun to make and paint/play with! Continue reading “Winter Art: Snow Paint”
Stars and Toothbrushes
For the last few weeks in science my kids have been learning about our Solar System. We have studied the Sun, Moon, stars, planets, and other bodies in the Solar System. It has been a lot of fun teaching and seeing them get so excited about our Solar System! I was trying to come up with a fun craft project while we were studying stars and I was in the middle of brainstorming how to get my kids to brush their teeth long enough. I put both things together and came up with this…
Pumpkin Sensory Play
Now that it is fall I have lots of great activities I cannot wait to do with my kiddos! One we did last week was a blast and the kids played with it for almost an hour. I have let the kids play in shaving cream on our dinning room table before since it is fun to write in and just a fluffy sensory experience. This time though I wanted to give it a fall twist and tried a few new things.
Fall Burlap Wreath
Happy First Day of Fall friends! This year instead of getting out my old fall wreath for the front door I made a new one. The old one I had made was used for 8 years and looking worse for the wear. I just love burlap and have seen a few cute burlap wreaths floating around Pinterest so I went for it. I actually had a few rolls of burlap table runner leftover from my oldest daughter’s 5th birthday party over a year ago. If you are a reader, you might remember that it was a shabby chic cowgirl party found here. I’m glad I held onto all of that burlap!
We Love VBS
We LOVE VBS! This week our church and a few others are having our annual VBS program each night. My kids love it, I love helping out and I am so proud of my husband for all of the hard work he does to make it happen. Last night was our VBS kickoff and the girls could hardly wait, so I decided to let them make some fun “I love VBS” shirts to pass the time until the kickoff. Continue reading “We Love VBS”
Washi Tape Clothespins
Washi tape, have you seen this cute decorative tape? It is sold in most craft stores and is in many different sizes, colors and patterns. I love it, but it can also be pricey for a small roll. About a month or two ago I found some in a clearance bin for really cheap and ended up bringing four rolls home for a dollar! I have been using it on tiny projects and am in love with this pretty little tape. Continue reading “Washi Tape Clothespins”
