We LOVE VBS! This week our church and a few others are having our annual VBS program each night. My kids love it, I love helping out and I am so proud of my husband for all of the hard work he does to make it happen. Last night was our VBS kickoff and the girls could hardly wait, so I decided to let them make some fun “I love VBS” shirts to pass the time until the kickoff.
First I used some letters I had left over from a project to trace onto a piece of poster board.
Then I used an exacto knife to cut them out.
We used this as a stencil over the shirts. I made two colors of my homemade fabric spray paint (how to found here). We covered the “I VBS” and sprayed the heart in orange. Then covered the heart and sprayed the other letters in blue. Next I removed the stencil and let the girls spray/splatter the entire shirt with both colors just a little.
The girls had lots of fun and it ended the, “is is time for VBS yet?” questions. They loved wearing their new shirts and had a blast at the kickoff last night.
Now, for the rest of the week with girlies who want to wear the same shirt each night 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!

Love the shirts! And the timing on this post is perfect. Our first day was this morning and it’s a good thing I bought the CD because the kids keep asking for it to be played over and over. What a blessing VBS is!!
Our VBS isn’t until the end of July. What program do you use? We use Group Publishing. This year it is called Kingdom Rock
Hi! I wanted to know if you can use the Washable glitter glue in the Time Out Bottle?
Thanks, Jennifer
