I went to make my homemade peanut butter fudge this afternoon and realized pretty quickly I was out of brown sugar. So I just made a batch in about two minutes and wanted to share with my readers in case you ever need to know how.
Ingredients (for 1 cup of light brown sugar)
1 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 Tablespoons molasses
That is it! Just pour the molasses over the sugar and stir until well incorporated. I use the back of my spoon to press the molasses in as I stir.
When you are done it will look like this:
Seriously if you’ve never had fresh brown sugar like this try a smidge (my autocorrect says that isn’t a word ha!). It is so good š If your recipe calls for dark brown sugar use 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1/4 cup of molasses. Thanks for stopping by!
