I have been searching for years for a good chocolate chip cookie recipe friends. No seriously, it is my baking nemesis check out my previous post on this very topic: chocolate cookie recipe fail. I’ve tried so many recipes it’s embarrassing. Each one just isn’t very good. I finally have a recipe that has succeeded several times! It has taken much trial and error but I finally am proud to say I have an amazing chocolate chip cookie recipe and love them so much they don’t last more than a day or two around here!
Ingredients:
2 cups plus 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter at room temp
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg and 1 egg yolk
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Fleur de sel or a coarse sea salt
Mix the first 3 dry ingredients and set aside. Cream together the butter and sugars. Add the vanilla, egg and egg yolk and mix well. Stir in the dry ingredients until just mixed. Do not over mix. Add chocolate chips and let cool in the fridge for about an hour.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place small balls of cookie dough on a greased cookie sheet and sprinkle with Fleur de sel or coarse sea salt. Bake for 8-10 min depending on your oven. Until they are just starting to brown. Remove and let cool. Enjoy with a tall glass of milk š
My whole family loves them! Thanks for stopping by š
