This year we were traveling all around my daughter Bella’s birthday in July. By the time we slowed down enough to have a real party it was almost her older sister’s birthday. So after talking to the girls, they were fine combining their parties into one. They were not budging on a combined theme though. So we threw a half My Little Pony and half Doc McStuffins party!

Packing for Kids Simplified
Our summer has been packed with travel, camps, conferences, and more! Youth ministry is in full swing each summer and we love it, even the traveling 5 weeks in a row and being crazy busy for 7 weeks straight. I haven’t had a chance to sit and blog in too long, but now I am back. We are settling in to our school year and getting back into a normal schedule again (insert happy dance here 🙂 ). So, I have several posts to catch up on from the summer. The first I want to share is one about how I pack my kids for all of this traveling. Continue reading “Packing for Kids Simplified”
We Love VBS
We LOVE VBS! This week our church and a few others are having our annual VBS program each night. My kids love it, I love helping out and I am so proud of my husband for all of the hard work he does to make it happen. Last night was our VBS kickoff and the girls could hardly wait, so I decided to let them make some fun “I love VBS” shirts to pass the time until the kickoff. Continue reading “We Love VBS”
Noah’s Superhero Party
My son turned 3 last weekend! He asked for a superhero party this year and as a closet superhero fan I was more than a little excited 🙂 Here is a peek at our little party (before my kids turn 5 we just do a family party at home and after 5 they start inviting friends) it was lots of fun.

Lemonade Stand
Last weekend we had a garage sale after some spring cleaning and decluttering at our house. We did a Friday through Saturday sale. My girls loved helping sort out old clothes that no longer fit and were eager to help with the family sale. So when Katie asked to have a lemonade stand I said yes! Continue reading “Lemonade Stand”
Pool Noodle Horses
My oldest loves horses. Horses make her beyond happy and she talks about them, draws them, watches shows about them, plays with toy horses, wants to learn all about horses, pretends to be a horse, looks at pictures of them, and says she wants to work with horses when she grows up. This has gone on for about two years now (of her five years of life that’s a lot). So any craft momma comes up with involving horses is a winner for my daughter 🙂 Continue reading “Pool Noodle Horses”
Happy Mother’s Day!
Happy Mother’s Day! Today we all honor our mothers. Some who are near and will spend time with them today. Some far away to whom cards/gifts are sent to and phone calls made. Some that have already left us and are deeply cherished in memory because of the love and legacy they left. Some who are adopted moms giving love to others as if they were their own children.
My Favorite Potty Training Secret
I am potty training my third child right now. There is one tip that has helped me through all three children when taking them to the bathroom in public restrooms. A smart friend and mother of three taught me this valuable little tip years ago and I’ve used it ever since! Continue reading “My Favorite Potty Training Secret”
