St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner and we are enjoying some fun projects to celebrate our Irish heritage! My maternal grandfather was Irish and I love sharing traditions with my little family 🙂 St. Patrick’s Day is a big deal around here. This week we are doing rainbow activities! As a fun sensory project we colored some beans in rainbow colors for our sensory bin. First we got some white beans from the dollar store. Then we put a cup of beans in a plastic zipper bag with 10-15 drops of neon food coloring.
Then I let the kids take turns shaking!
They all loved this part but I’m pretty sure my boy loved it most! Then we dumped the beans out on a few paper towels.
Then spread them out to dry overnight.
Then repeat with the other colors. The waiting to play with them was the hardest part for my kids! They look so pretty 🙂
This is the sensory bin before the play!
This is the sensory bin after the play!
Lots of giggles and fun, keep an eye out for more St. Patrick’s Day fun here on the blog. Thanks for stopping by 🙂 Johanna
