I love nutter butters, probably because I love peanut butter 🙂 So I took my peanut butter cookie recipe that I’m also in love with and decided to attempt my own nutter butters. The result is a rich and much better version of a nutter butter!
For the cookie recipe click here. That is an old post that describes how to make my favorite peanut butter cookie dough. When you have chilled the dough in the fridge for about an hour, roll small cookie dough logs out of it and roll them in sugar.
Place on your cookie sheet and press with a fork.
Then pinch the middle a little.
The icing ingredients:
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup butter room temperature
4 cups powdered sugar
Mix well all of the ingredients. The icing will be stiff, that is ok! When done roll small pieces of icing and place on the bottom cookie.
Then press the top cookie on and press together.
So, I thought my peanut butter cookies were amazing… but these blow those out of the water! Thanks for stopping by 🙂
