As requested yesterday I am sharing my key lime pie recipe. My husband says he loves it so much because it is the creamiest key lime pie he has ever had. I think it is because my recipe uses sour cream. I personally don’t like lime and so when I make it he KNOWS I did it just for him.
Ingredients:
9 inch graham cracker crust
2 cans of sweetened condensed milk (check out my homemade recipe here)
3/4 cup key lime juice
1 T. key lime zest
1/2 cup sour cream
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Beat the sweetened condensed milk, key lime juice, key lime zest, and sour cream together until smooth. Pour into the prepared pie crust. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes, it will not brown on top. Remove and let cool to room temperature. Refrigerate 3-4 hours or overnight to completely chill.
Even looks tempting to a me and as I mentioned I do not like lime š thanks for stopping by!

Thanks for this recipe! I have tried a recipe that used sweetened condensed milk and eggs, but it didn’t turn out this creamy – I’m definitely going to try it with the sour cream instead of eggs. And your hubby is lucky that he doesn’t have to share it!
Thanks for sharing the recipe. I will make it for my husband this weekend.
