Today is Dr. Seuss’ birthday! We did some reading in his honor, watched a Dr. Seuss movie, had a yummy Dr. Seuss inspired meal for dinner, and gave the kids a green Oobleck inspired bath 🙂
There are lots of great ideas out there to celebrate and I wish I had more time today to do some with the kids but we had to be out of town most of the day. Here is a quick picture of dinner.
We had brown sugar and honey glazed turkey ham slices, green scrambled cheese eggs, and cat in the hat toast. For the toast I put rhubarb strawberry jelly in a plastic zipper bag and cut the corner to pipe out stripes on the toasted bread to look like cat in the hat’s striped hat. The eggs I just added green food coloring, shredded cheddar cheese and salt and pepper. For the ham I just roasted sliced ham in the oven drizzled with honey and sprinkled with brown sugar.
It was simple and my kiddos loved it! Even my daughter who doesn’t eat much protein ate her plate clean. We had a good Dr. Seuss inspired day. Thanks for stopping by 🙂
