Rainbow Snow Cream

We got beautiful snow today in Oklahoma! We woke up to it coming down and it still is going steady. I have such happy kids and a very happy husband (he is from New York and LOVES snow). We went out in it for a little while today and lots of giggle and laughs later came inside to warm back up. This morning I put out a plastic bowl and let it catch snow all morning, for…
Snow Cream! After lunch the kids were so excited I could not make it fast enough for them. Especially once they found out I was making Rainbow Snow Cream!

It was just like normal snow cream just with M&M’s. Those cute little rainbow colored chocolate candies made an already fun tradition even more wonderful!

Ingredients:

Snow! I let my bowl fill outside (7-8 cups)
2/3 cup heavy cream
1/3 cup powdered sugar (check out my homemade powdered sugar here)
1 teaspoon vanilla
M&M’s

Stir the cream, sugar and vanilla into the snow. Most recipes call for regular granulated sugar and that’s fine too, but I like that the powdered sugar doesn’t make it taste grainy. Smooth snow cream is what we like in our house!

Then scoop into bowls and add M&M’s.

Then serve up to happy kids!

I tried to get pics of the swirls of color in the bowls, because it was so cool but the kids ate it up so fast. Plus I was just enjoying the sweet moment with my snow happy kids. Tucked the memory away in my heart for always 🙂 I pray all of our snow days are this magical. If you haven’t liked the Facebook page for my site yet, don’t forget to! I will be sharing a sweet video of me and my son later tonight 🙂 thanks for stopping by!
