X-ray for a Child’s Doctor Kit

This year I put together a doctor kit for my daughter who is in love with the idea of becoming a doctor. One of the things I just knew she would love is a pretend X-ray. So after some brainstorming I came up with a way to make her one 🙂

First I found a picture of an X-ray online and then printed it off in a 5×7 size. Next I used a copier to copy the image onto a piece of transparency paper. Then I bought two 5×7 frame mats in black. I hot glued them onto the transparency, framing the X-ray. I trimmed up the edges and was done.

I think it turned out cute and she carries it around holding it up to the light examining the bones 🙂 thanks for stopping by!

  1. Mrs. Johanna what a great idea. I have x-rays in my doctor set but love the transparency idea. I always wanted to try it but was afraid the transparency paper would get stuck in my printer. What kind did you use if you don’t mind me asking. Thank you again for the great idea. God Bless. Mrs. Valerie

    • I used regular paper in my printer then took the print to a copier machine with a sheet of transparency paper and copied it onto the transparency paper. Many local office supply stores have copiers they will let you use for pretty cheap 🙂

We are at University Church of Christ in Denver. I would love to hear from you- it’s always nice to connect with other ministry wives who have similar interests!
