Water Painting

Noah has been enjoying water painting today and I had forgotten just how much fun this is for a two year old! The girls love it still too, and it is so simple to do. All you need is a chalkboard, chalk, water in a cup and a paint brush.

First let your kiddo cover the chalkboard with chalk completely! They love this part too, I had to help some.

Next fill a cup with a small amount of water. I use an old small frosty cup that I washed out. It is small enough for him to hold and has a lid with a hole so it is less likely to spill on my little guy. I put a children’s brush in the cup for him to “paint” with. Then I let him go at it šŸ™‚

When he had pretty much covered the entire board in water I wiped it down to dry it up a bit. Then he grabbed his chalk ready to go again!

He did this several times this morning, laughing and enjoying it the whole time. Simple, clean, and fun! Thanks for stopping by šŸ™‚

  1. So cute. I give the grandkids a brush and water and they “paint” the sidewalk…no chalk just water.
I also put flour on the granite island and let them draw in the flour while I cook. Yeah, flour gets on the floor, no big.
