Rainy Day Fun

Rainy day! Yes, I’m super happy since we had a very dry summer. Also, I have loved rainy days since I was a young girl. This morning I used the opportunity to make some rain art with my girls.

First I got out some card stock and washable markers and asked the girls to write their names really big with lots of color!

While they did that I was using food coloring to dot two more pieces of card stock.

Then outside into the sprinkling rain we went 🙂 and laid the papers on the front sidewalk.

Then we waited and watched as the colors leaked and spread. When we picked up the papers the girls loved the colors on the side walk!

They loved the effect and now they are drying on a line in my kitchen 🙂
