Huge News!!!!

Hey friends (readers totally count as my friends after 4 years blogging!) I have some amazing and exciting news to share! Nothing this big has ever happened because of my blogging before 🙂

Wait for it…

I’m on National TV!!! Wait, WHAT?!?! Yes friends, you read that right 🙂 I’m being featured on the HLN network! If it helps you recognize it, it was originally CNN2 and is a spinoff of CNN still owned and operated by CNN. Monday of this week a producer contacted me about a blog post I did on some March Madness basketball themed food. She asked to feature it and do an interview since this weekend is the Final Four. Once I realized this was a legit amazing opportunity to promote my blog on a national level on TV I told her YES! So I’ve spent my week emailing and planning the taping of the piece with television producers! Talk about a surreal experience to get emails from CNN headquarters. I kept pinching myself to make sure I was not dreaming all week.
Filming was this morning and editing is in progress to air on Sunday morning on the Weekend Express Show (HLN channel) several times from 7 am to 1 pm. Their show airs several times during that six hours and I’m in there somewhere 🙂 Here is one of the craziest parts, we canceled our satellite service less than a week before they contacted me to do this! Ugh, so do me a big favor and watch it for me! I will likely crash a friend’s house to see it 🙂
Once they post the web link on their site I will let you know also. I want to say a big THANK YOU to all of my friends and family for all of the encouragement and support to even attempt my blog. I didn’t have much confidence it would be very successful and here I am 5.5 million views later about to be on national TV! I would have never imagined all it has become 🙂 I appreciate all of my faithful readers more than I can say also. You guys have made my blog a place to meet other mommas and share our lives.
