Rice Krispies

Hey friends! Do you have that one cereal that when you eat it takes you right back to childhood? Well anytime I have a big bowl of Rice Krispies Cereal I remember Saturday morning cartoons and footie jammies with my little brother. Good memories can come from the simplest things in life! I would like to share with you a recipe today that my kids and I like to make with Rice Krispies.

Well it all started with these two…

Remember my cornflake cookies recipe? You can find the recipe here if you forgot :). This recipe is pretty much the same recipe but instead of cornflakes, Rice Krispies. Then instead of a cup of peanut butter 4-5 Reese’s pumpkins (if you are making this when they aren’t available use 6 regular size cups). It’s an easy recipe and my kiddos love the results!

They are chewy peanut butter, chocolatey and crunchy goodness! Such a fun twist on Rice Krispie Treats. I love making memories with my kids and recipes like this are a great way to do that. They love to help measure out ingredients, lick the spoon when we are done and sneak a cookie early!

  1. They sound amazing! I just got a recipe for rice krispy treats that combines Rice Krispy’s, Reese’s cereal and chopped up Reese’s cups. Then the whole thing is drizzled in peanut butter and chocolate! I can’t wait to try it! I don’t have the exact link but it’s on a couponing website I read everyday called My Litter.

My husband came across one of your recipes on Facebook and forwarded it to me. I can’t wait to try your Cheesy Chicken Tortilla soup! I’ve really enjoyed catching up on your blog. Thanks for sharing with us!
