Birthday Party, cakes

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Party

My Annabelle’s 4th birthday party went great. I’m sharing some of the decor ideas today since I try to go pretty cheap, yet fun and as big as I can. I love seeing other mom’s ideas so I can use them too, so I’m sharing to help out other moms too.

First I will show you how I did my fancy-looking table cloth for super cheap! I used four (.97 at Walmart… .3 cheaper each than the dollar tree, hey I warned you I’m cheap) yellow plastic table cloths to make a ruffle all the way around the edges. I folded the table cloths long ways but not quite in half so there are two layers of ruffles all the way around. I also taped as I went around folding over every four inches or so. Here are some pics.

I used all four table cloths around the table and then placed a red plastic table cloth folded on top to cover the tape and give it a finished look. It went well with the Mickey Mouse clubhouse theme.

I got a Mickey shaped punch at my local craft store and used brightly colored paper to make the confetti, and used some star confetti I got on clearance (which after a confetti fight this morning i have realized seems to multiply like bunnies, it may be in my living room for a long time). I love how fun the table came out!

I also hung balloons and curling ribbon from the ceiling, and love how that turned out. The balloons were $1, and the curling ribbon was $3 for three colors from the dollar tree. So the entire ceiling decor was $4. In the picture you can also see Belle’s Mickey blanket she brought down for me to hang as decor (gotta love free decor like toys and blankets we already have).

I also put some curled ribbon and confetti on the coffee table and the side table and the tv stand along with some mickeys my daughter got from her toys.

We have an amazingly sweet neighbor who works as general manager at a local pizza place and when we ordered the pizzas for the party she made a small one mickey shaped for Bella and she was thrilled!

  1. I found your blog on Pinterest, and I love it! My husband is also a youth minister, and I have 2 kids – a toddler, an infant and one on the way, so we have a lot in common!

I want to subscribe to your blog by email, but I can’t find where! Am I overlooking it?

    1. I’m so glad you found my blog! I would love you to follow me via email. I must admit I didn’t realize I didn’t have an easily accessible follow button. I think I’ve corrected that now though and it is on the right menu under the pic of my girls πŸ™‚
