We are in a bit of a cold snap this week in our area of Oklahoma. The first of the week was in the 80s and then yesterday we dropped to the 30s and even snow flurries! I don’t mind the changing weather, it is one of my favorite things about living where we do. Yet it does not feel very springy here right now. So I made a new spring wreath for the front door, then I made one for a friend also 
Growing up anytime we had bread that went stale or was about to go bad my mom would make bread pudding for dessert. Now when I make it, just the smell can remind me of my childhood . Today I’m sharing my recipe and a creamy cinnamon icing I love to generously pour over the top when I serve it.
Happy Earth Day! I use this day to teach our children about taking care of the earth God entrusted to us in the beginning. We read the creation story, plant seeds, play outside, work in the yard, plant a tree and do fun crafts repurposing items. Today we made Earth Day cookies as well! I’m pretty excited for tonight! Every so often I will hostess a girl’s night with some girlfriends at our house. We usually play board games, talk, laugh a lot and enjoy fun snacks we all chip in on. Since it is after the kids bedtime we don’t have a meal. Each of us brings a snack, homemade or store bought doesn’t matter. I like to make something though since I love to bake/cook. The kids and I made glow sidewalk chalk and they LOVE it! It has been such a hit I just had to share our process. If you have time to do this with the little ones in your life this summer, do it! So much fun with very little cost and effort.
