As requested yesterday I am sharing my key lime pie recipe. My husband says he loves it so much because it is the creamiest key lime pie he has ever had. Key lime pie is one of my husband’s favorite desserts. Last night I went to make him one to thank him for doing something for me and I only had one can of sweetened condensed milk and my recipe calls for two. Not wanting to head to the store at 10 p.m. I decided to do some research and make my own! Now that I have made it at home fresh, I must admit it was just as good or better! Growing up anytime we had bread that went stale or was about to go bad my mom would make bread pudding for dessert. Now when I make it, just the smell can remind me of my childhood :). Today I’m sharing my recipe and a creamy cinnamon icing I love to generously pour over the top when I serve it.
Happy Earth Day! I use this day to teach our children about taking care of the earth God entrusted to us in the beginning. We read the creation story, plant seeds, play outside, work in the yard, plant a tree and do fun crafts repurposing items. Today we made Earth Day cookies as well! I’m pretty excited for tonight! Every so often I will hostess a girl’s night with some girlfriends at our house. We usually play board games, talk, laugh a lot and enjoy fun snacks we all chip in on. Since it is after the kids bedtime we don’t have a meal. Each of us brings a snack, homemade or store bought doesn’t matter. I like to make something though since I love to bake/cook.
