My oldest loves horses. Horses make her beyond happy and she talks about them, draws them, watches shows about them, plays with toy horses, wants to learn all about horses, pretends to be a horse, looks at pictures of them, and says she wants to work with horses when she grows up. This has gone on for about two years now (of her five years of life that’s a lot). So any craft momma comes up with involving horses is a winner for my daughter

Happy Mother’s Day! Today we all honor our mothers. Some who are near and will spend time with them today. Some far away to whom cards/gifts are sent to and phone calls made. Some that have already left us and are deeply cherished in memory because of the love and legacy they left. Some who are adopted moms giving love to others as if they were their own children.
I am potty training my third child right now. There is one tip that has helped me through all three children when taking them to the bathroom in public restrooms. A smart friend and mother of three taught me this valuable little tip years ago and I’ve used it ever since! Read the rest of this entry
I love potato printing! It is easy and fun for kids to do. The girls and I found some cute t-shirts at Walmart for 3 dollars and used them to potato print summer shirts. I am lucky to have two little girls who love art and crafts as much as their momma! Read the rest of this entry
Happy Earth Day! I use this day to teach our children about taking care of the earth God entrusted to us in the beginning. We read the creation story, plant seeds, play outside, work in the yard, plant a tree and do fun crafts repurposing items. Today we made Earth Day cookies as well! The kids and I made glow sidewalk chalk and they LOVE it! It has been such a hit I just had to share our process. If you have time to do this with the little ones in your life this summer, do it! So much fun with very little cost and effort.
April showers… all I can say is, YAY! We are having wonderful rain today and I’m so thankful for it. When I was in college I learned to cut hair. It was more of a money saving skill so I could give my brother free hair cuts. Then I gave them to my friends and boyfriend (now husband). I learned to do it on my own, I eventually learned layers, highlighting and dying as well. I’ve been cutting my husband’s hair for 11 years now. So when I had a son and he needed his first hair cut I got out the clippers thinking, “this will be simple.” Boy oh boy was I ever wrong!
