Now that it is fall I have lots of great activities I cannot wait to do with my kiddos! One we did last week was a blast and the kids played with it for almost an hour. I have let the kids play in shaving cream on our dinning room table before since it is fun to write in and just a fluffy sensory experience. This time though I wanted to give it a fall twist and tried a few new things.
Happy First Day of Fall friends! This year instead of getting out my old fall wreath for the front door I made a new one. The old one I had made was used for 8 years and looking worse for the wear. I just love burlap and have seen a few cute burlap wreaths floating around Pinterest so I went for it. I actually had a few rolls of burlap table runner leftover from my oldest daughter’s 5th birthday party over a year ago. If you are a reader, you might remember that it was a shabby chic cowgirl party found here. I’m glad I held onto all of that burlap!
I love pumpkin flavored things and I love chocolate covered pretzels. So, I came up with a yummy recipe that includes both! Pumpkin flavored white chocolate covered pretzels.
This year our family decided to be a family of super heroes for Halloween. Our church has a great carnival each year and the kids get so excited to dress up for it. Last weekend we finally made it to the pumpkin patch with some friends and their little one. My kids had so much fun and we got some great fall pictures together. So this wordless Wednesday is devoted to our trip pictures! I hope you enjoy the peek into my sweet family’s trip to the pumpkin patch Read the rest of this entry
Now that fall is here I have been craving some yummy soup! One of my very favorites is broccoli cheese. Only made better by being served inside a fresh bread bowl with chunks of bread from the inside sitting around the plate to dip in my cheesy soup.
This week I was a happy recipient of lots of fresh organic apples! I love baking with apples so I’ve been enjoying them and making old and new recipes. Yesterday I made a fresh batch of apple butter in the crockpot all day and canned it when I got home last night from church. I was encouraged to share the recipe on my blog, so here it is.
So I know it’s only August 1st but…. I LOVE FALL! I just know its getting closer and the days have been so hot and loooong, I’ve been dreaming of Fall.
