Groundhog is coming! It’s next Saturday and I’m already gathering craft supplies and fun activities for the kids and I to do together. I found a picture of a snack I made last year for the girls to take to their friends and thought I would share. Read the rest of this entry
Today the kids and I used some small black lights we found in the Target dollar bins a few months ago to do some glow activities. We had so much fun I just had to share with my mommy friends!
My post on my DIY shower vapor discs was so popular yesterday I decided to share my homemade version of Vick’s Vapor Rub. I like Vick’s for its many great uses, but some of the chemicals used in it I try to avoid and the cost is higher than I like to pay. So my version is all natural and much cheaper
As my readers know from my previous post I have been battling a cold this week. I was asked for the recipe for my shower vapor discs. I used to buy the shower soothers made with Vick’s vapors in them and they helped my sinuses a lot. Well they are very expensive and so of course I went on the hunt for a cheaper and all natural DIY version. There are lots out there but the one that has worked for me is this:
Yesterday I went from scratchy throat to sore throat/cold status. So my body made me slow down and get some much needed rest. I also needed to do some blogging though and decided I haven’t done a day in pictures in a while. So here it is, my sick day home with my kiddos trying to feel better. Enjoy
Valentine’s Day is a month away! I don’t know about you but my favorite Valentine’s Day candy is conversation hearts. I love those sweet, colorful tiny hearts with cute sayings on them. Although the last few years I think they taste different, and not in a good way. I’m not sure if they changed the recipe favors or if my adult taste buds are different. Either way I still eat them This year as a fun activity for me and my kids I wanted to attempt to make our own.
One of my family’s favorite recipes is pepperoni rolls and it is so simple! Who doesn’t love pepperoni, cheese and pizza dough?
Today I’m sharing with you one of my favorite DIY projects, because I get to use it almost daily. For a long time I loved mineral powder face makeup because of the sheer and matte look it gave my skin. I also have combination skin with some drier parts and a few oilier patches. Mineral powder helped me with the oily parts while not drying out the dry parts of my face. Only one problem with mineral powder, it was kind of costly. So after research I came up with my own version for pennies!
