Yesterday I hosted my annual gingerbread building party! This year we were able to do gingerbread nativity scenes
I have an awesome friend who gave me a gingerbread nativity kit last year for Christmas. I have been waiting all year to use it with my small group girls for our annual party and it was so much fun.
I love that I was able to talk with the girls about the nativity and my two daughters joined in the fun and built their own as well.
The kit came with cookie cutters for all of the figures and two triangles for the stable. The triangles lean against each other in a pyramid shape for the stable. I set out enough shapes for 8 nativity sets and candy enough for decorating… and eating of course!
Lots of giggles and sugar later we had some cute gingerbread nativities! I’m only sad I didn’t get a picture of them all to show you, but I got several.
Well I love my teen girls and my girls so much. It was a lot of work and gingerbread, but more than worth it! Here is the link to last year’s gingerbread party. Thanks for stopping by!

Looks lovely! I will have to try this with my group!
I love them. You need to post the gingerbread recipe too.
. I don’t like gingerbread but yours was really good.
We have alot in common! My hubby is also a youth minister
I’m happy I discovered your blog. I was searching for gingerbread nativity scenes and found yours! Do you happen to have an egg-free icing recipe for the gingerbread mangers?
Instead of using egg whites I use the Merengue Powder. It is sold in cake baking supplies. It is safe to eat while icing, and with lots of kids they will be eating as they go
