I am always trying to find new ways to make learning fun and exciting for my kiddos. One night after dinner there was a lot of whining about needing to take a bath. So I announced, “I’m going to let you take a bath in alphabet soup!” My children’s attitudes completely changed and they were very exited and begging for bath time.
I let them help daddy clear the table while I ran down to my foam sheets stockpile and started cutting letters. Please excuse the cutting job, every letter is different and far from perfect, but I was in a big hurry to make them. I cut three of each letter and then threw them in the tub before the kids came up. They loved that they stuck to the tile walls and tub walls so they could spell their names and other words we have been working on during our phonics lessons.
I loved the giggles as they whispered about how cool it was that they were taking an alphabet soup bath, and hearing them sound words out to spell them correctly melts my heart. Alphabet soup baths have become a weekly occurrence in our home now. I have a mesh bag from the dollar tree that i keep the foam letters in to dry between baths. Thanks for stopping by!

Such a super idea… And I love the whimsy of hand cut, all unique, letters!
